Why It’s Okay To Be an Imperfect Environmentalist
We need to do more than feel bad about ourselves
I am the first to admit I am not perfect.
There is a lot of talk out there about what we must do to change our life in the face of climate change.
Sometimes I fall short.
We don’t want to inconvenience ourselves or we need the car to get to work or we use packaged food because they already made it, and it is just easier not to ask. Then afterwards, there’s the guilt.
The guilt about everything.
I guess this is where being an imperfect environmentalist comes in. Despite my best efforts, I can’t save the rainforests on my own. Even my best efforts feel like they won’t help much.
Before I delve into what I’ve been doing, I’d like to share with you what led me to change and my new level of involvement in the environment.
Over the past year, I wanted to take more personal responsibility for what we are leaving for the next generation.
