When Modi said India would reduce emissions by 2070, I couldn't help but think it was kicking the can far far far down the road. Then again, Saudi Arabia also said 2060, and no one says a peep - and they have the highest emissions from their vast oil reserves. 2070 is so far beyond our horizon, how can it even be measured properly? There has to be more urgency, regardless of what happened in the past. Especially as India's neighbors Bangladesh are drowning in front of the world. Thanks for the post!
