Los Angeles has a knotty issue with homelessness (and I say that living in London! but spent time in LA) what I found disturbing was the mental health issues. People who are unwell with nowhere to go. I read LA has the most homeless in US? Not far from me in London is a similar issue - but I heard someone say once, we should judge a society by how we treat the poorest and not the richest. There’s something in that because people homeless are so stuck and this system harder for us all
