Evidence-based reality. On the BBC there was an interview with the head of science curriculum in the US and he said the problem with science education is because people think facts are something to regurgitate rather than facts determined by objective evidence that is tested. He thought it was a real problem in US education because it makes science become a matter of belief rather than evidence qualified by testing the facts through scientific process. If facts are interchangeable or flexible, well, it's open to delusional conclusions because they feel good rather than the verified. Big topic!
